“Joseph Sauveur” Acoustics Laboratory

The Acoustical and Vibroacoustical Institute of Peru (INPAVAC) will promote in Peru to build all necessary facilities to formalize an Acoustics Laboratory, which may satisfy the commercial needs of the construction materials Peruvian market, and that the tests required to know their acoustic properties carried out by ISO standardized methods.

The Acoustics Laboratory will be named “Joseph Sauveur”, in memory of the French scientist who in 1696 coined the word acoustique (acoustics), thus giving birth to acoustics as an independent branch of science.
